A party game for Zoom, Discord and FaceTime calls
Spiky works well on a call because each player uses their own screen. You stay on Zoom, Discord, Google Meet or FaceTime to talk, and everyone plays on their phone or in another browser tab. Nobody has to share their screen and the host doesn't need to own anything.
How to set it up on a call
- The host opens playspiky.com in a browser and taps Create.
- Paste the room link into the call chat. Players open it on their phone or a second tab.
- Keep the call running for the talking part: the arguing over which answer is real is the best bit.
Tips for remote game nights
- Phones work best as controllers, so the call can stay full screen on the computer.
- Turn on Streaming Mode if you are streaming the game: it hides the room code and link on screen.
- Pick a faster timer for a lively group and a slower one if some players are on mobile data.
- Use 3 rounds for a quick warm-up at the start of a meeting, 7 or 10 for a proper game night.
Group size
Free rooms fit up to 4 players, which suits most friend calls. A Gold Cactus host can open rooms for up to 12, handy for bigger Discord servers or team socials.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to share my screen?
No. Every player sees the question, the answers and the results on their own device.
Does it work for team meetings or work socials?
Yes. It needs no installs or accounts, just a browser, and a 3-round game fits into a few minutes.
